The Beaumonts
Wednesday, February 16th, 2011
The Beaumonts filmed live at Hole in the Wall 1/29/11
Brought to you by Dave.TV
“Toby Keith”
Purveyors of genuine, no holds barred, country music, The Beaumonts, from Lubbock, Texas with an arsenal of raunchy, drug laced, honky tonk songs and an anything goes mentality keeps on-a preaching and their clergy keeps on-a drinking.
Their classics Lets Get Drunk, The Boots Stay On and Mayonnaise showcase not only their musical sensibilities, but also the couth upon which the natural honesty of The Beaumonts shines. With their music full of the stuff you don’t talk about in front of your Grandma, The Beaumonts are best absorbed live in concert and their show calendars have been marked by bills with other honky tonk hero’s such as Ray Wylie Hubbard and Scott Biram. And, to add to their celebrity credit, Unknown Hinson thinks that their music is “gooder than hell”.
Arclight Records also thinks that their music is gooder than hell and released the bands first studio album, Get Ready for The Beaumonts, nationwide in 2010 through Nail Distribution. The band knows how to get their job done and has no illusions about where they fit in amongst the present commercial music landscape. Frontman Troy Wayne Delco explains, “as long as the songs are simple, and we don’t have to practice too much, and it’s just fun and easy to do The Beaumonts shall champion on”.
Conscientious of the demand by their fans for quality country music, the band gigs consistently throughout the year where they make an effort to tour through San Antonio on just about every venture away from Lubbock they make. You can also find this good-hearted band giving something back each year by holding an annual Honky Tonk Christmas Food Drive in San Marcos – continually trying to top the previous years overall proceeds.
All in all, there is not another band out there quite like The Beaumonts, and everyone seems just fine with that.

Dirty Heads at Wierdo’s 10/29/2010
Emerging onto the Southern California music scene with a sound as original as the band members themselves, the Dirty Heads’ blend of hip-hop and classic reggae rips through the sonic surf with bold beats, fun rhythms and the relaxed vibe of feel-good lyrics.
Dirty Heads
Dustin Bushnell – Vocals/Guitar
Jared Watson – Vocals
Jon Olazabal – Percussion
Matt Ochoa – Drums
David Foral – Bass
Rooted in the Orange County community of Huntington Beach, founding band members Jared Watson and guitarist / vocalist Dustin Bushnell met in 1996 while in high school, embarking on a friendship based on music, as well as their shared passion for surfing, skating and the endless party of the laid-back SoCal lifestyle.
Early on, they spent many late nights jamming in Bushnell’s soundproof garage with a four-track recorder, writing unique acoustic hip-hop songs that featured reggae inflections. Inspired by the rock and reggae sounds of Bob Marley, Sublime, 311 and The Beastie Boys, the band’s music evolved into their distinct Dirty Heads style.
To complete the Dirty Heads’ sound, the duo added percussionist Jon Olazabal and drummer
Matt Ochoa, both talented, experienced musicians. With a set of solid material, the Dirty Heads were further motivated to take their craft to the next level, and they began building a loyal fan base throughout the west coast, while performing acoustically at local bars and small music venues. As they started playing in neighboring Los Angeles, the band found it necessary to charter party buses so their fans could make the 30-mile trek to their shows.
Connecting with sought-after producers Steve Fox and Stan Frazier (Sugar Ray / Ashlee Simpson) the band worked long hours to polish their material and further develop their style. The Dirty Heads also recruited mixing engineer Mario Caldato Jr., best known for his work with the Beastie Boys, to add the finishing touches and create just the right blend.
The band’s highly-anticipated first full-length album is entitled, Any Port in the Storm (Released on EMG through Fontana, a division of Universal Music Group Distribution – September 2008). This debut features 14 tracks that are reminiscent of the upbeat, sun-soaked Southern California party energy. The first single is the optimistic, “Stand Tall.”
Any Port in the Storm also features one of the final recordings of the late music industry icon Billy Preston. Frequently referred to as “The Fifth Beatle,” Preston played on three tracks, including “Stand Tall,” “Chelsea,” and “Driftin.’ ” Other special guests on the album are drummer Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Sting, The Vandals), and veteran session percussionist Alex Acuna, whose A-list musician resume includes Peter Gabriel, Johnny Clegg, and Jackson Browne, to name only a few.
Recently, the band’s music has been attracting attention throughout the world of entertainment. Their songs have been featured in the movie and soundtrack for Surf’s Up (Sony 2007); and the television drama, Shark staring James Woods (CBS 2007. Actor Matthew McConaughey selected the band’s music to be in his upcoming film, Surfer Dude. In addition, the Dirty Heads can be heard in Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam video game (Activision 2007), and several other music compilations and surf/skate videos. On the marketing side, the Dirty Heads have also been included in campaigns for Etnies Jeans and Vestal Watches.
Dirty Heads vocalist Jared Watson sums up their fun, uncomplicated style, “We want to be positive and entertain,” he says. “We just want to make you feel good.”
And who can’t dig that?

Monday, October 4th, 2010The Jigglewatts Burlesque
Friday, October 1st, 2010
The Jigglewatts Burlesque is Austin’s premier burlesque troupe winning national acclaim as a group and individually. The Jigglewatts bring Austin their favorite national performers. All of their dance numbers are intensely character-driven, giving a revealing glimpse into the personas they have created. More than just adopting cutesy stage names, each dancer has a captivating presence with which she infuses all actions.
Perhaps the strongest element of a Jigglewatts performance, however, is the attention to detail. From the music selection and editing to the precisely timed lift of an eyebrow, the balance of choreography to improvisation, the lighting design (where available), and let’s not forget the dazzling, custom-made costumes… each plays a vital role in the creation of The Jigglewatts world.

Crew54
Monday, September 20th, 2010
Crew54 is a Austin Texas-based rap group that has been on the scene since 2006. The two-man rap group is made up of MOS and G-Christ, who blend their sounds and lyrics together seamlessly.
The Crew54 Reality Show seems like an original idea. What was the motivation behind it?
MOS: We wanted to be able to put ourselves out there and for people to get to know us, but in our videos we can’t pretend like we’re something we’re not. A lot of other rappers want to pretend they’re these badasses or whatever, but we record everything, so you know who we are if you watch it.
G-Christ: We do show our shows, but we don’t just highlight us. We put other artists on the reality show, too. Some others just put themselves out there, but we try and help other artists in the area get out there too.

Bill Hicks Interview
Thursday, September 16th, 2010
Bill Hicks on Austin Public Access with DaveTV. Originally Broadcast on October 24th, 1993.
Message from DaveTV-
I have to give Bill Hicks full credit for waking me up to how the world really works, and this, his last interview includes the footage which proves the Branch Davidians were murdered at Waco, a Bradley tank with a flame thrower attached. This interview was shown on Austin Public Access and has been on Google before, only to be pulled for some spurious reason. If Bill’s friend Kevin Booth is still selling this video then please support his good work (along with Alex Jones) exposing the New World Order, but the information Bill puts across in this interview is too important for humanity to be perceived as having “intellectual copyright”. Bill hardly swears in this interview so there’s no reason for it to be removed for obscenity reasons, if it gets pulled again then it’s the evilarchy, not his friends, followers or disciples requesting it’s removal. Please watch, learn and WAKE UP – There IS a war on for our minds… R.I.P. Bill, you’re my messiah, Vernon was a false prophet!
