Crew54
Crew54 is a Austin Texas-based rap group that has been on the scene since 2006. The two-man rap group is made up of MOS and G-Christ, who blend their sounds and lyrics together seamlessly.

The Crew54 Reality Show seems like an original idea. What was the motivation behind it?

MOS: We wanted to be able to put ourselves out there and for people to get to know us, but in our videos we can’t pretend like we’re something we’re not. A lot of other rappers want to pretend they’re these badasses or whatever, but we record everything, so you know who we are if you watch it.

G-Christ: We do show our shows, but we don’t just highlight us. We put other artists on the reality show, too. Some others just put themselves out there, but we try and help other artists in the area get out there too.

Black Eyed Vermillion

BLACK EYED VERMILLION was born Gary Christian Vermillion in 1969 as the product of a one night stand between an unemployed circus freak and a jackal. Abandoned by his mother, he was adopted by a roaming tribe of Buddhist Monk street sweepers, eventually causing him to find inner-peace within the gutter.
At age 7, young Vermillion fell into an open sewer. After being trapped for three days he was finally rescued; unconscious and badly hurt. When he awoke he could only communicate in swear words for a year and his voice was severely damaged from the septic fumes. He also sustained a head injury, resulting in his first set of black eyes which would lead to the nick name he still bears to this day.
At 11 Vermillion set out to see the world but mostly saw it from behind bars. As he stumbled around the world from bus stations to bars to shelters to jails, he was always just lucky enough to cross paths with some of the most talented people in the underground music scene. Stevie Tombstone, One Armed Willie, Handsome Andy Gibson, Cornelious ‘the Pain’ Wickenburg, Joe Buck Yourself, Heathen Bill, Stix the Clown, Whiskey Dick and of course the legendary Shelton Williams the 1st were just a few of the people that would help him realize that he had absolutely NO musical talent! But they also taught him that it didn’t matter as long as there was a song in his heart.
These days Black Eyed Vermillion is being backed by The Vermillionaires; a solid line-up consisting of Fritz ‘Burger’ Nation and Johnny ‘Sunshine’ Johnson on Guitars, Kurtis D. ‘Millionaire’ Machler on Bass and Bircho Birch on Drums. Combining the elements of American roots music with the dark anger of punk and grindcore, they will be attempting to play as many gigs as possible, depending on everyone’s ever demanding Rehab schedule.

One Step Program

One Step Program is the brainchild of self-produced vocalist/beatmaker Jason Frank. With the help of Jeff the J Master Wrecking Crew’s endless cataloug of instrumentals and live support, and Stanley R. Dubious working samples, keys and guitar, One Step Program is now hitting the live scene. Keep your eyes peeled and prepare yourself for an onslaught of raw dance mayhem. And just when it becomes too much to handle, relax and ride the silky smooth waves of funktastic flow jams. One Step Program offers an electronic hybrid sound with all original material and one hundred percent attitude.
For those music fans out there with a deep appreciation for short attention spans and twisted attitudes. Come out with a closed mind and spread sarcasm freely amongst the regular, straight laced losers that you see wandering the streets. There is no time left to worry about the outcome of tomorrow. We are here to offer you a musical statement of grand proportions. ..

The Nutcracker Suite

Each year, the Austin-based rock band THE INVINCIBLE CZARS perform their wacky rock version of the music from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and each year it gets better! This new Texas holiday tradition began in December 2004 when the band introduced its version of the Suite to Austin at two shows: a children’s matinee and a later, louder show aimed at the bands existing rock fan base. Since then, the group has continued the tradition yearly, entertaining people of all ages with their unlikely holiday hit. In 2007, the band self-released a studio recording of the Suite which became the seventh highest selling holiday CD at Waterloo Records that year. Their creative and whimsical version of the Nutcracker Suite has opened the door for many exciting performance collaborations with such organizations as Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin, Austin Children’s Museum, Ballet Austin, the Houston Ballet, Wicked Cricket Dance Theatre and Graham Reynold’s Golden Arm Trio.
